This site is all about how to awaken to the fact that you do indeed have a choice — a choice you are making every moment of your life, a choice that cannot be made for you. This choice determines whether you succeed or fail, live in robust health or in sickness, live in abundance or in poverty, live as a creator or as a victim… So, choose wisely.
How it Began
Many years ago, during a shamanic ceremony, I left my body three times; I transitioned from this world to the world on the "other side." There, I was tested, I was taught many things, and I was given many gifts. It seemed that I was gone for many months, though in Earth time it was only about two hours.
One of the gifts I received was the symbol — (|) — and instruction in how to use it. The way of 1iZen evolved from that experience as the symbol continued to open up and bring many more gifts of understanding and peace. Therefore, 1iZen is my personal way, it is constantly evolving, and what I share with you on this site are the words I write to myself as it unfolds for me.
I claim only that this is my way, as best as I can communicate it — I do not claim that this is any sort of ultimate truth. In my experience, some people get it, and some do not — apparently this is not meant for everyone. But, maybe it is meant for you.
Why The Name…
Then name "1iZen" evolves from the symbol: (|)
- 1 — The center line of (|) represents the unity | of opposites ( ). The number 1 acknowledges this. It is an affirmation that only the Divine whole exists, though it manifests in many — seemingly contradictory – forms. Separation and time, form and manifestation, vibration and change, yin and yang, female and male… are represented by the stressed lines ( ) of the symbol.
- i — The "i" of 1iZen represents the Higher Self, the one Self we all share. This is not the capital "I" of the ego, which stands alone; it is the humble i of Spirit that stands together. This "i" is also represented by the center line of the symbol. And, "1i" acknowledges the one Self.
Eye — The shape of the symbol is also that of a single eye, the third eye, the eye of intuition that looks inward. You can think of 1iZen as "One-Eye-Zen," the way of looking inward to the Absolute Stillness at the center of our being.
- Zen — Zen is a turning inward to the Source through skillful means. Zen goes beyond the mind and time and space; it is an open doorway to this present moment of Absolute Stillness. Zen means meditation; Zen means simply being here and now, in the raw presence of Life Itself.
What it Means
In essence, 1iZen and the symbol (|) point to practice of "relaxation into perfection" by entering Absolute Stillness | with intent ( ).
What I learned from this can be summarized very simply:
I have two choices in any situation: Love or fear. One brings happiness, health, wealth, connection, and strength; the other does not. Yet, only when I am awake can I choose Love.
My advice then is this:
Awaken, choose only Love, and relax.
